Goldsmith stabbed and 1.5 kgs gold looted in Kembatty Colony

Gunashekharan, owns a gold shop in Dharmaraj Kovil Street, Kembatty Colony, Coimbatore district. Two of his employees, Nagaraj and Saravanan, were working in the shop last night. Early this morning, while Saravanan left the shop, 3 men broke into it, sprayed Chilli powder on Nagaraj, stabbed him thrice and looted 1.5 kgs of gold.

On returning, Saravanan was appalled at seeing Nagaraj who was profusely bleeding. He registered a complaint with the Periyakadai police station. The police are on the lookout for the robbers. The case will also be probed further.
