Mr. J.P.Pandey has been newly appointed as the Senior Assistant General Manager and Chief Monitoring Officer of the Southern Railways. R.Mukundan who earlier held this designation, recently retired, due to which Mr.Pandey has assumed the post.
Mr.Pandey is originally a civil engineer by profession. He completed his B.Tech from IIT, Rourkela and M.Tech from IIT, Delhi. In 1985, he worked with the object control board after which he has worked as the manager at the Bhav Nagar division of the Northern Railways. He later also worked as the object control officer at the Jhansi division and as the additional railway division manager.
He has further acquired special training from General Motors, America in 1998, Lee Kuan Yew University, Singapore in 2009 and Bocconi University, Italy in 2015.
