Radio City's "Thagam Theerpom" programme to quench thirst of wild animals

Radio City 91.1 , a popular FM Channel in the city, which is contributing its mite to quench the thirst of city denizens through “Thagam Theerpom” a social venture programme and supplies drinking water to slum areas and remote localities is extending the scope of the programme to cater drinking water to wild animals suffering due to drought conditions.

"From now on, drinking water would be supplied to wild animals by filling up the water holes situated in deep forest areas in each range of Coimbatore Forest Division. Water tankers would be pressed into service to fill up these water holes, created by the forest department, where animals gather to drink water" said a Radio city official.

Radio City has joined hands with Arc Foundation and Shyam Sundar Water tank operators to supply waters to the wild animals, which have been affected by drought conditions in the forests adjoining western ghats.
