The State unit of Bharath Sena, a fringe Tamil outfit has alleged that the devotees who visit Vana Bhadrakali Amman temple in Mettupalayam are being drowned in the river, when they take bath in the river by some miscreants who do this act for gain.

Ungal Siva, State General Secretary of the organisation in a statement issued to the press here has alleged that the devotees who visit the temple are subjected to such heinous act of crime and the necessary action should be taken to prevent any such heinous acts in future.
“The temple which is functioning under HR&CE department is an important temple attracting large number of devotees. If the Temple authorities do not initiate any action to prevent this, Bharath sena may be forced to appoint its it own guards to protect the devotees when they visit the temple. A massive agitation will be also be organised for the purpose” Ungal siva said in his statement.
