State Government dancing to the tune of centre - Rajyasabha MP Kanimozhi

It would be a wrong move on the part of the State Government to change the school syllabi, according to the needs of the eligibility test like NEET, but the periodic review and upgrading of uniform syllabus could have been done, but the Government has failed to do so said Kanimozhi, DMK leader, and Rajya Sabha MP.

Kanimozhi, who has come to the city to take part in anti- NEET and anti-Hindi protests being organised by her party DMK while addressing the media said “ The AIADMK government has not taken any effort to enrich and upgrade the uniform syllabi in the past few years, but now it is thinking of changing the syllabi for the sake of NEET, which is condemnable".

“It is wrong to imagine that only through NEET quality medical professionals could be produced in the country ” Kanimozhi opined.

While launching a scathing attack on the present State Government headed by Edapadi Palanisamy, she said that the Government is more interested in safeguarding its own interests than the interests of the people in the state. “ It is ridiculous that the Government is accepting, programs and measures which are opposed by the people of the state of Tamilnadu” Kanimozhi said.

When asked for her reaction to the Income Tax raids, which have been carried out at the properties of former union minister P.Chidambaram and his son Karthi Chidambaram, Kanimozhi said she doesn't want to comment on the subject.
