As many as 622 benificieires in West Tamilnadu who have undergone life-saving treatment and surgery under Chief Minister's Comprehensive Helath Insurance Scheme have undergone a medical review of their resepctive conditions in a recent camp.
The medical review of 4695 patents who have undergone surgeries for various health malaides is being carried out all over Tamilandu and the patients if found to be suffering from furhter complications are referred for further treatment under the scheme. These patients have undergone special surgeries including 21463 kidney and 218 liver transplant and 733 coclear implant, under this scheme.
The Government sponsored health insurance is extended to 1.58 families in Tamilnadu and every individual covered under this scheme would get Rs.2 lakh insurance cover. As many as 17.3 lakh people have benefited under this scheme at the cost of Rs.3398 crores for various health maladies.
