Coimbatore: The Electricity Board has announced today that monthly electrical maintenance work will be conducted at Somayampalayam substation tomorrow (August 14) from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Due to this maintenance work, power supply will be disrupted in Somayampalayam, Yamuna Nagar, Kalapanaickenpalaym, G.C.D. Nagar, Kanuvai, K.N.G. Puthur, Thadagam Road, parts of Cheran Industries, Vidhya Colony, Saaj Garden, V.M.D. Nagar, Teachers Colony, Namitha Colony and surrounding areas.
Electricity Board officials have stated that these maintenance works are essential to improve the substation's efficiency and ensure continuous power supply. The public is requested to bear with the inconvenience caused.
Residents are advised to plan their essential needs in advance and disconnect electrical appliances beforehand. The maintenance work is expected to be completed by 4 PM, after which power supply will be restored.
