Students Explore Entrepreneurial Thinking at Masterclass Hosted byK’sirs International School

Students from leading schools across Coimbatore came together at K’sirs International School for Ashoka University’s Thinkers of Tomorrow Masterclass, where Prof. Mukesh Sud inspired them to think like entrepreneurs, embrace innovation and view challenges as opportunities to create meaningful solutions.

Coimbatore: In a world where creativity, adaptability and problem-solving are increasingly valued alongside academic excellence, schools are expanding learning beyond textbooks to prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow. Recognising that tomorrow’s leaders must be innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers, K’sirs International School continues to create opportunities that expose students to real-world ideas and transformative learning experiences.

As part of this vision, the school hosted the Ashoka University – Thinkers of Tomorrow Masterclass Series, bringing together aspiring young innovators from schools across Coimbatore and neighbouring districts for an engaging session on entrepreneurship and innovation.

The masterclass, titled “Can You Build a Start-up Without a Perfect Plan?”, was conducted by Prof. Mukesh Sud, Visiting Faculty in the Department of Entrepreneurship at Ashoka University and an alumnus of IIT Delhi. Through an interactive and thought-provoking session, Prof. Sud introduced students to the foundations of entrepreneurship, innovation, design thinking, customer validation and the importance of resilience in transforming ideas into successful ventures.

Rather than presenting entrepreneurship merely as a career option, the session encouraged students to view it as a mindset—one rooted in curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and the courage to solve real-world problems. Drawing from practical experiences and real-life examples, Prof. Sud inspired participants to embrace uncertainty, learn from failure and continuously adapt in an ever-changing world.

One of the highlights of the programme was Prof. Sud’s thoughtful gesture of presenting personally signed copies of his authored books to participating students at no cost. The books served not only as keepsakes from the event but also as a source of encouragement for students to continue exploring ideas beyond the classroom.

The masterclass witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing K’sirs International School, SSVM World School, Yuvabharathi Public School, Suguna PIP School, Spectrum Life CBSE School, Reeds World School, Yellow Train School, Government Model School from Tiruvannamalai district and several other educational institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, the school management thanked Ashoka University and Prof. Mukesh Sud for providing students with an enriching learning experience that fostered innovation, leadership and entrepreneurial thinking. The management reiterated its commitment to providing meaningful interactions with distinguished academicians and industry experts, ensuring that students are equipped not only for higher education but also to become responsible, future-ready global citizens.

The successful hosting of the masterclass reflects K’sirs International School’s continued emphasis on holistic education—one that complements academic achievement with exposure to ideas, experiences and perspectives that inspire students to create opportunities, contribute meaningfully to society and emerge as the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.
