The recent WannaCry Cyber attack has crippled over 200,000 systems around the world, however, India's top cyber security officials have indicated that there was no need for concern. Not ready to take a risk, the government and private entities have implemented extra pre-cautionary measures to safeguard their data and activities.
Back here in the City, Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan has apprised that 'Collection of tax through online is active and hence citizens can continue remitting their tax through the online portal of Corporation'.
Elaborating on the precautionary measures taken against the Wanna Cry attack, he said that all employees of Corporation have been asked to use only their authorized e-mail ID's and are advised to abstain from logging or browse using their private ID's and unauthorized websites.
