Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja IAS inspected ongoing development projects in the South Zone, including storm water drains, dengue prevention activities, healthcare facilities, and water quality monitoring in Ward 95 and 97 on July 21, 2026.
Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja IAS personally inspected various development projects and civic works underway in areas under the South Zone of Coimbatore Corporation.

The Commissioner inspected the storm water drain on NP Idheri Road under Ward No. 95 of the South Zone. He also reviewed the registers maintained by Corporation dengue mosquito eradication workers who conduct door-to-door field surveys in NP Idheri Road and Kurathul Street areas. The inspection was conducted on July 21, 2026.

Following this, the Commissioner interacted with residents of NP Idheri Road and Kurathul Street in Ward No. 95 to enquire about any complaints regarding drinking water supply, segregation of garbage, and basic amenities. He then inspected the additional building of the Urban Primary Health and Wellness Centre being constructed on NP Idheri Road at an estimated cost of Rs 85 lakh from Corporation general funds.

The Commissioner also visited the dialysis centre construction work underway on Bothanur Chattram Street at an estimated cost of Rs 98.70 lakh from Corporation general funds. Additionally, he inspected the chlorine levels being added to drinking water at the Pillaiyarpuram water storage tank under Ward No. 97.

During these inspections, Assistant Commissioner (General) Narmatha, City Health Officer Dr Subash Gandhi, Executive Engineer Yogachithra, Assistant Executive Engineer Kanakaraj, Assistant Engineer Eswari, Zonal Sanitary Officer Andiyappan, Sanitary Inspector Balamurugan, and other Corporation officials accompanied the Commissioner.
