In a conference held at Selvapuram, Coimbatore, with the agenda of discussions being NEET examinations and Hindi being made compulsory, DMK MP Tiruchy Siva said, “AIADMK should not be elected in any future elections, rather DMK should come to power. The employees of the State Transport Corporation are currently holding a strike with very valid reasons. However, the government has been discarding their requests and paying no heed.
The Metro project which took a backseat during DMK's reign took a backseat after Jayalalitha came to power. If DMK had been elected during that period, the Metro project would have been running smoothly in Madras, Coimbatore and Tiruchy.”
On being asked about Rajnikanth holding a meet to greet his fans, Tiruchi Siva said that he was glad that the superstar is able to meet his fans. Furthermore speaking of DMK leader Karunanidhi's golden jubilee celebration he said, “The preparations for the celebrations are going on full swing. This will be the first time when members and leaders of all the parties in Tamil Nadu will be present under one roof.”
He concluded saying that the current state government is only a puppet in the hands of the central government. If the state government really wanted, it could have prevented the NEET examinations. However, it did not do anything much.
