The municipality sweepers of Kudalur, Nilgiri district, have filed a petition with the collector against the ill-treatment of higher authorities. Paramasivan and Peter Mahadevan, two of these higher officials, have been very oppressive in their mannerisms. Sweepers have been denied the minimum wages of Rs.300. Paramasivan even registered the death of some of the workers.
