Ravi, is a resident of Sankar Nagar at Mettupalayam. His son Udhaya(20) got married to Anandhi(18) 6 months earlier. There were various misunderstandings between the couple due to which Anandhi was staying with her mother.
Today morning, Anandhi was travelling on bus no.14 to the government hospital as she was having a splitting headache. While nearing the Taluk office, Udhaya suggested that they resolve the differences and get back together, which Anandhi was against. Udhaya then stabbed her on the chest and escaped from the moving bus.
Passengers took Anandhi to the government hospital for treatment and a case has been filed. The Mettupalayam police are on the lookout for Udhaya and the residents of the region are panic- stricken ever since the incident.
