A special blood donation camp was organized at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University campus ahead of World Blood Donor Day. The camp, conducted jointly by Singanalur Government Medical College and ESI Hospital, saw participation from 192 donors including students, faculty, and staff members who contributed to this life-saving initiative.
Coimbatore: A special blood donation camp was successfully organized at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University campus to commemorate World Blood Donor Day. The camp was conducted on June 22, 2026, in collaboration with Singanalur Government Medical College and ESI Hospital.

The blood donation camp was inaugurated at 9.00 AM by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ka. Subramanian. Dr. Umasarojini, Chief Medical Officer of Singanalur ESI Blood Bank, efficiently conducted the camp along with her medical team.

A total of 192 people voluntarily donated blood at the camp, including university students, faculty members, non-teaching staff, drivers, and workers. The camp, organized ahead of World Blood Donor Day, created social responsibility awareness among students and employees.
Emphasizing that blood donation is a noble act that saves lives, the university administration announced that such camps would be organized regularly in the future. Certificates were distributed to all donors who participated in this humanitarian effort.
