A high-level committee, consisting of experts in the field of education has recommended the restructuring of the State Board curriculum and steps are being initiated to make the school syllabi richer in content and so as to facilitate students tackle tough eligibility tests such as NEET said K.A. Briefing newspersons at the city airport here Sengottaiyan said that the Government has introduced the grading system in Plus two exams and it is a step in the right direction. Actually, the Government has fulfilled a long-held dream of the people of Tamilnadu. the minister said.
The Government has also made necessary arrangement and sent the plus two results through mobile SMS to students, the minister said that effort has been appreciated by all sections of the people.
"The new system was a surprise package to the students as well as their parents, who are benefited by it. Excepting for a few Most of the students have received the SMS" the Minister claimed.
While answering questions about NEET, Sengottaiyan said that the final call on the continuation of NEET could only be taken by the President of India he said that the representation to this effect has to pass through the Prime Minister's office. Tamilnadu Government would take necessary steps for the discontinuation of NEET in Tamilnadu.
To a query to why out of syllabus question were asked in the NEET exam, the minister said it is for the central Government to answer this question. When questions were raised about State Ministers D. Jayakumar and Sreenivasan are proving impediments for the merger of the two camps of the AIADMK he said it is for the concerned persons for to answer such questions.
