Flora hosts celebrity chat with Jaya Mahesh, celebrating the mother in her

On a pleasant Thursday afternoon, the bold Mrs. Vanaja Kalayanaraman and the ever so beautiful Mrs. Jaya Mahesh, engage themselves in a candid conversation, bonding over the truest form of love- motherhood, as they cherish every bit of it.

Mrs. Jaya Mahesh, Mrs. India Earth 2016, has been the talk of the town ever since she was crowned. However, as a mother, she has it no different. She underwent an extremely tough pregnancy, where she even lost her eyesight. From a petite, healthy woman, she bloated to an overweight 118kgs. Giving up was never the way out for her, instead she emerged of all this a stronger and wiser woman. She had a mettle resolve throughout all these difficulties, for she knew she had to do justice to her daughter, Sanjana. She was back in shape with 2 and a half years of sensible eating and paositive thinking.

Mrs. Jaya thanks her upbringing for making her the person she is. She grew alongside 2 of her sisters as the tomboy of the house. Her childhood memories consist of chasing butterflies and riding horses. Her father was a man of principles and always lent a helping hand to anyone in need. Today, she passes on everything she has learnt to her daughter Sanjana, who imbibes values that are not just taught but also put in action.

Sanjana, her daughter, is her best friend and her partner in crime. They have a transparent relation where anything under the sun is a topic of conversation for them. She believes children grow to become what their parents mould them into.  And today she could not be prouder of the beautiful human being that Sanjana is today.

Speaking of the Mrs. India pagaent, it is a competition that looks for more than skin deep beauty. The awardee is expected to be a woman of substance, and that, she undoubtedly is. Throughout her journey of fame, her family has been her backbone and will continue to be so.

Mrs. Vanaja Kalyanraman, a teacher and undoubtedly a woman of steel, lost her husband at a very young age. To be monetarily stable she had to juggle between school, tutions and home. After an extremely exhausting day of work and tutions, she barely had any time to spare for her children. However, they were very considerate and supported her in whatever ways possible.

When her son was of the tender age of 7 and her daughter, 17, she was diagnosed with Cancer. In tough times such as these she held on to her faith and staunchly stood by her kids. She never expressed her emotions to her kids, for she knew she had to patch the absence of their father. She promised them she would survive, despit being unsure herself, and she emerged no less a warrior.

Mrs.Vanaja, wise with age and wiser with experience, is today extremely proud of her children who stood by her in the hardest of times and is one such mother who is an inspiration to everyone around.
