A 21 -year old inmate of Deaf and Dumb school in Kothapalayam had been sexually assaulted by the owner of the school itself.
The complainant in her Police complaint filed at the Karumathampatti Police station has stated that Murugasan the owner of the school, at Kothapalayam has sexually assaulted her after force feeding her with alcohol.When the victim become pregnant due to the assault, the other trustee and the warden of school took her to a hospital and aborted the fetus.
Karumathampatti police have filed a FIR and included six persons as accused in the case including Chitradevi (40), one of the trustees of the school and Piramalai (28), the warden of the school. The prime accused 57- year old A. Murugasamy (57), the owner of the Deaf and Dumb school is running it since 2008. About 88 boys and 102 girls stay residential facility for deaf and dumb children. The victim is said to have to stayed in the school since she was 13 years old.
