The father-in-law of Health Minister C. Vijayabhaskar was awarded a three-year sentence by a Coimbatore court in a forgery case. The court which heard the case has found that M. Sundaram ( father-in -law of C. Vijayabhaskar) and his brother M. Dhanapal were guilty of forging documents of a property in Avinashi road in which their half-brother of Duraisamy had a stake too.
Duraisamy the half brother had filed a formal complaint in Racecourse police station in 2011 and a case was filed in the court. The duo had conspired and forged the documents and grabbed the property for themselves, leaving their half-brother in lurch.
Judge Velusamy who pronounced the verdict on Monday found the two brothers M. Sundaram and M. Dhanpal guilty of cheating their half brother. The judge sentenced them to 3 years imprisonment and also levied a fine of Rs.20,000.
