Condemning the non-retrieval of Panchami lands which were distributed to the marginalized poor sections of the people, Tamil Puligal, a Tamil national outfit has staged a demonstration in front of the collectorate today.
The cadres alleged that the Panchami lands which were given to Scheduled castes were grabbed by influential people with the help of Government officials in various parts of the state.
The State Government should initiate prompt punitive action against those who have grabbed the lands meant for the poorest of the poor and the officials who were hand-in-glove with them.
Tamil Puligal outfit is staging such agitations in all the district headquarters demanding the retrieval of Panchami lands and returning it the original beneficiaries.
