East Zone Chairperson Initiates Concrete Flooring Work in Ward 52 and Inspects 60-Foot Road in Ward 54

East Zone Chairperson Ilanchelvi Karthik launched concrete flooring work in Ward 52 and inspected a 60-foot road in Ward 54 of Coimbatore on Wednesday, addressing public demands and infrastructure needs.


Coimbatore: The East Zone Chairperson of Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation, Ilanchelvi Karthik, had a busy Wednesday (9.10.2024) as she initiated concrete flooring work in Ward 52 and conducted an inspection in Ward 54.

In Ward 52, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the construction of a concrete floor in Ranganayaki Ammal Layout. The project, estimated to cost around ten lakh rupees, was inaugurated by Chairperson Ilanchelvi Karthik. The event was attended by East Zone Assistant Commissioner Muthusamy, Assistant Executive Engineer Rajesh Kanna, Chief Executive Committee Member V. Balasubramaniam, General Committee Member R. Manikandan, and various local officials and residents.



Later in the day, Chairperson Karthik visited Ward 54 to inspect the 60-foot planned road in the Indira Garden area. The visit was prompted by public requests to reclaim and improve the road. Accompanied by East Zone Assistant Commissioner Muthusamy, Assistant Town Planning Officer Bhuvaneswari, and local officials, Karthik conducted a thorough assessment of the area.



During the inspection, the East Zone Chairperson instructed officials to immediately repair and renovate the road, addressing the concerns raised by the local residents. The move is expected to improve infrastructure and address long-standing demands of the community in Ward 54.

These initiatives demonstrate the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation's commitment to enhancing urban infrastructure and responding to public needs across different wards in the East Zone.
