Coimbatore, Thanjavur teams lift Brotherhood Trophy

Coimbatore and Thanjavur teams have lifted the Brotherhood trophy, respectively in Football and volleyball championships organized here.

Mrs. Lakshmi I.P.S Deputy Commissioner of Police distributed the cash prizes 10,000 and Rs.8,000 to Coimbatore and Thanjavur teams which have won football and volleyball championships, respectively. The second, and third and fourth prizes of Rs.5000, Rs.3000 s.2000 were also handed over the runner-up teams.



Addressing the athletes who took part in the championship. Lakshmi, DCP said that “excelling in sports activities would lead to excellence in life also. The youth should give back to their parents when they achieve high in life, as they have sacrificed a lot for their welfare. Religious amity, between various faiths would lead to peaceful and harmonious society.”



A total of Rs.38,000 cash prizes has been distributed as prize money for the winning tems in the TheBrotherhood Trophy, a twp dau mega sports event organized by Track Force Sports Club (TFSC) a sports wing of Student Islamic Organisation of India (SIOI)

A total of 50 teams representing various zones of Tamilnadu took part in the event.
