DMK's North District Secretary T.A. Ravi and Pollachi MP Eswaran distributed non-vegetarian lunch to residents of Coimbatore Corporation's homeless shelter in R.S. Puram on October 3, celebrating Udhayanidhi Stalin's appointment as Deputy Chief Minister.

Coimbatore: In celebration of Udhayanidhi Stalin's appointment as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, DMK members distributed non-vegetarian meals to the residents of the Coimbatore Corporation's homeless shelter in R.S. Puram on Tuesday (Oct. 3).

The event was led by DMK's North District Secretary T.A. Ravi and Pollachi MP Eswaran, who personally served lunch to the shelter inhabitants. The initiative aimed to share the party's joy with the less fortunate members of society.

R.S. Puram area DMK Secretary Karthik Selvaraj, along with other DMK executives and party volunteers, were also present at the event, showcasing the party's collective effort in this charitable act.

This gesture by the DMK members not only marked the celebration of their party leader's new role but also highlighted their commitment to serving the underprivileged in the community. The provision of non-vegetarian meals was seen as a special treat for the shelter residents, who often rely on basic meals provided by various welfare organizations.

The homeless shelter in R.S. Puram, operated by the Coimbatore Corporation, serves as a crucial facility for those without permanent housing in the city. Such initiatives by political parties and social organizations play a significant role in supporting these vulnerable sections of society.
