Housing for all Scheme expedited in Tamilnadu - Minister SP. Velumani

Tamilnadu Government has expedited the construction of housing projects for the economically weaker sections and out of 2,60,000 tenements being constructed under Tamilnadu Slum Clearance Board and Housing for all schemes ,  a good 1,0,000 tenements have been completed and it would be handed over to the beneficiaries soon said SP Velumani, Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development. 

Presiding over a review meeting held with the officials in the District Collectorate the minister said that in Coimbatore alone  10,000 housing units have been completed under various housing projects including Prime Minister's Awaz Yojana and they have been handed over to the beneficiaries.  The Government has expedited measures to make slum- free Tamilnadu by the year 2023, under the  “ Housing for all “ scheme which is being implemented from 2015 to 2023. 

Tamilnadu Slum Clearance Board has been entrusted with the implementation of “ Housing for all” scheme under which Rs.2.5 lakh subsidy can be availed. Applications are being received for the solar -powered Green House scheme, with full Government subsidy.

Later the S.P. Velumani who spoke to the media said that every effort is being taken by the Chief Minister Edapadi K Palanisamy and other leaders to unite the divided AIADMK camps.
