Protesting against alleged Police excesses perpetrated against anti-Hydro carbon protestors in Neduvasal village and pro-farmer supporters in Chennai and Coimbatore, a group of people who identified themselves as by People against Oppression organized a demonstration in front of Coimbatore South Taluk office.
The group which has identified as People against Oppression demanded that the false cases which were foisted on students and protestors who took part in these agitations should be withdrawn by Tamilnadu police.
The Police should not employ oppressive measures to contain people agitations for worthy causes Instead the Government should address their grievances in a democratic manner, the protesters said.
