The scheduled three-day visit of BJP National President Amit Shah to Tamilnadu stood canceled not for any political reasons but due to his work commitments. A later date would be announced soon for his visit and nothing more could be read into this said Tamilnadu BJP President Tamilisai Soundararajan.
Amit Shah was to participate in various functions in Chennai and Coimbatore starting from May 10 and Tamilisai was in town to supervise the preparations being made for the BJP President's visit.
Tamilisai who spoke to the media at the city airport said that Amit Shah would definitely visit Tamilnadu at a later date and a grand reception would be accorded to him during his visit. His visit stood canceled not for any political reasons.
While expressing happiness on the withdrawal of protest by medicos who were protesting for 50% reservation in Postgraduate medical courses she said that the medical fraternity should realize that hardships the rural people would undergo when doctors struck work and medical services get affected.
When asked to express her opinion as to why a FIR was not filed on State Minister Kamaraj in the cheating case even after Supreme court directive Tamizhisai said the rule of law is the same for every citizen of this country and so the minister who stood accused in a cheating case should be booked as per the laws of the land.
Tamilisai also wondered whether the rule of law is maintained in Tamilnadu under Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy.
