Isha Yoga Center Volunteers Petition Police to Act Against Defamatory Statements

Isha Yoga Center volunteers submitted a petition to the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police, urging action against individuals spreading defamatory statements about the organization. The petition highlights concerns over false accusations and their impact on Isha's charitable work.

Coimbatore: Volunteers from the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore have submitted a petition to the District Superintendent of Police, urging action against individuals spreading defamatory statements about their organization. Dinesh, representing the Isha Yoga Center volunteers, presented the petition at the SP's office.

Speaking to reporters, Dinesh stated that the petition was filed on behalf of the Isha Yoga Center. He expressed concern over the long-standing issue of certain individuals spreading false accusations, which he claimed were tarnishing the reputation of Isha's numerous beneficial works and services. Dinesh suggested that if these individuals had any legitimate grievances, they could have approached the courts or the police for resolution.

Dinesh alleged that a group of individuals, operating under a specific name, were behind these defamatory activities. He claimed that many members of this group had backgrounds in extortion and illegal arbitration. According to Dinesh, these individuals were posting comments on social media platforms without any factual basis and spreading misinformation. He accused them of not following the proper channels established by the government for addressing concerns.

Regarding a sexual assault allegation made during a medical camp organized by Isha, Dinesh mentioned that the case is currently under court investigation, and full details would be revealed once the verdict is announced.

Dinesh specifically named an individual, Kamaraj, as being particularly active in spreading defamatory content about Isha recently. Interestingly, Dinesh claimed that two of Kamaraj's daughters are volunteers at Isha. He stated that Kamaraj visits and gives sweets to his daughters at Isha, while simultaneously filing complaints at the women's police station. Dinesh added that they possess CCTV footage of these visits.

In conclusion, Dinesh emphasized that none of the individuals currently accusing Isha have any substantial evidence or legitimate grievances against the organization.
