Karpagam Academy of Higher Education Celebrates 15th Convocation, 2,644 Students Receive Degrees

Karpagam Academy of Higher Education held its 15th Convocation on September 21, 2024. Dr. A. Velumani, Creator of Thyrocare, was the Chief Guest. 2,644 students were awarded degrees, including 52 doctorates and 51 gold medalists.


Coimbatore: The Karpagam Academy of Higher Education marked a significant milestone with its 15th Convocation ceremony held on September 21, 2024.



The event was graced by Dr. A. Velumani, the creator of Thyrocare, as the Chief Guest.



The convocation saw a total of 2,644 students receiving their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.



Additionally, 52 scholars were awarded Doctorate Degrees, and 51 outstanding students were honored with Gold Medals for their academic excellence.



The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Dr. R. Vasanthakumar, President of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, and Shrimathi V. Damayanthi, Madam Trustee. Chancellor Prof. K. Ramasamy presided over the convocation, while Er. K. Murugaiah, Chief Executive Officer, was also present.



In his convocation address, Dr. A. Velumani emphasized the intricate connection between societal progress and cultural development. He urged the graduating students to cultivate personal discipline, social responsibility, and continuously enhance their skills, highlighting these traits as essential contributors to a better society.

Dr. Velumani stressed the transformative power of education in shaping lives. He encouraged students to recognize the advantages of new educational policies that promote both skill development and personal growth. The Chief Guest also highlighted India's current position at the forefront of the global economy, attributing this success largely to the knowledge and capabilities of Indian students.

The address concluded with a call to action for the graduates. Dr. Velumani urged them to acknowledge their responsibility in advancing fundamental areas such as basic education and medicine. He also emphasized the importance of contributing to scientific innovation and technological development that benefits society as a whole.

Prior to the main ceremony, Prof. B. Venkatachalapathy, Vice Chancellor of the institution, delivered the Welcome Address and presented the annual report for the academic year 2023-2024. The event was well-attended, with the Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, notable personalities, and proud parents participating in the convocation ceremony.





The 15th Convocation of Karpagam Academy of Higher Education not only celebrated the academic achievements of its students but also served as a platform to inspire the graduating class to become responsible citizens and contributors to India's growth and development.
