Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Inspects Underground Drainage and Road Repair Works in Wards 1 and 5

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS inspected ongoing underground drainage works in Ward 1 and road repair works in Ward 5 on September 20, directing officials to expedite the projects.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS conducted on-site inspections of ongoing infrastructure projects in two wards of the city on Wednesday, September 20.

In Ward 1 of the North Zone, the Commissioner visited Pappanaickenpalayam and Cape Town areas to assess the progress of underground drainage system works. Prabhakaran instructed the officials to accelerate the completion of these essential sanitation projects.



The inspection team in Ward 1 included Assistant Commissioner Sridevi, Assistant Executive Engineer Ezhil, Ward Councilor Karpagam, Zonal Health Officer Rajendran, Assistant Engineer Jainraj, Sanitary Inspector Paunraj, and other corporation officials.

Following the drainage inspection, Commissioner Prabhakaran proceeded to Ward 5 in the East Zone. Here, he examined the road repair works underway in the Viswasapuram area. The Commissioner emphasized the need for swift completion of the road improvement project to enhance local infrastructure.



Accompanying the Commissioner in Ward 5 were Assistant Commissioner Muthusamy, Assistant Executive Engineer Rajesh Kanna, Ward Councilor Naveen Kumar, Zonal Health Officer Vijayakumar, Assistant Engineer Ganesan, and other municipal officers.

These inspections underscore the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation's commitment to upgrading urban infrastructure and improving sanitation facilities across different zones of the city. The Commissioner's hands-on approach aims to ensure timely completion of these vital civic projects.
