H Raja accuses Rahul Gandhi of coordinating anti-India forces during US visit

BJP State Coordination Committee Chairman H Raja met reporters in Coimbatore, criticizing Rahul Gandhi's US visit and discussing various political issues including BJP membership drive and GST implementation.

Coimbatore: BJP State Coordination Committee Chairman H Raja held a press conference at the BJP district office in Coimbatore today, where he made several statements on current political issues.

Raja began by extending birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted that the Prime Minister had announced the implementation of various schemes within the first 100 days of the election, and projects worth 15 lakh crore rupees have been launched during this period.

The BJP leader mentioned that from today (Sept. 17) until Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, tree planting events and welfare schemes for the poor will be conducted. He added that on the occasion of the Prime Minister's birthday, annadanam (food donation) and temple pujas are being performed.

Regarding BJP membership in Tamil Nadu, Raja stated that the party currently has 31 lakh members and aims to reach one crore members. He said intensive membership drives would be conducted, noting a positive response from farmers and agricultural laborers in rural areas, as well as in urban areas.

Raja criticized those who demand caste census while opposing the Vishwakarma scheme, calling it hypocritical. He urged the state government to immediately release details of the Vishwakarma scheme.

On the subject of alliances, Raja clarified that the decision-making authority lies with the central BJP leadership, and his role is to implement their decisions.

The BJP leader questioned why Thirumavalavan, who recently met the Chief Minister, did not demand the closure of TASMAC shops. He criticized the upcoming anti-liquor conference on October 2 as misleading to the public.

Raja claimed that the Union Agriculture Minister was shocked by TASMAC's revenue in Tamil Nadu, suggesting that the DMK could form a "drug wing" due to the increase in substance abuse.

Accusing Rahul Gandhi of coordinating anti-India forces during his US visit, Raja stated that Gandhi's actions seem to be working against India's interests.

Regarding GST, Raja asserted that it has not negatively impacted anyone's tax rates and accused opposition parties of spreading false information to criticize the central government's scheme.

Finally, Raja questioned the relevance of EVKS Elangovan, calling him "expired" and questioning his right to comment on others.
