iRead, the English Language school, recently organized a one of its kind musical theatric extravaganza as a part of the celebration on its 4th Annual Event. More than hundred children performed on stage enacting the legendary tale, Pied Piper of Hamelin. The ages of these young performers were ranging from 3 to 11.
The Chief guests of the event were- Mrs. Santhya Vikram, Founder of Yellow Train; Mrs . Geetha Jayachandran , Principal of Yuvabharathi Public school and Mrs. Meenakshi Vaidhyanathan, Vice Principal of Yuvabharathi Public school. This musical was written, directed and choreographed by Ms.Sherin Mathews, founder and director of Storynest, Mumbai.
It was a treat to watch these children on stage, delivering dialogues with appropriate body language and voice modulation, with just 9 days of rehearsal.
