Massive Preparations Underway for Milad-un-Nabi: 40,000 Mutton Biryani Portions to be Distributed in Coimbatore

Coimbatore gears up for Milad-un-Nabi celebrations with preparations to cook and distribute 40,000 portions of mutton biryani to the public, involving hundreds of cooks and tons of ingredients.

Coimbatore: As the city prepares to celebrate Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, preparations are in full swing to cook and distribute mutton biryani for 40,000 people.

The Islamic community worldwide celebrates Milad-un-Nabi with great joy and fervor. In Coimbatore, the scale of preparations is truly impressive.

More than 400 goats, over 2,500 kg of biryani rice, and tons of tomatoes, curry leaves, coriander, and other ingredients have been procured for this massive culinary undertaking.

The cooking process is set to be a spectacle in itself, with 250 enormous vessels being used by over 300 expert chefs to prepare the biryani. This coordinated effort showcases the community's commitment to sharing and celebrating together.

Following the preparation, mosque administrators and Islamic organizations plan to distribute the biryani free of charge to the public in various areas including Ukkadam, G.M. Nagar, Kottaimedu, and Karumbukkadai. This gesture of goodwill and sharing embodies the spirit of the festival.

In addition to the biryani distribution, special prayers and supplications are scheduled to take place in mosques tonight, marking the eve of Milad-un-Nabi. These spiritual gatherings will set the tone for tomorrow's celebrations, combining religious observance with community feasting.

The scale of this event not only highlights the significance of Milad-un-Nabi for the Islamic community in Coimbatore but also demonstrates the city's spirit of communal harmony and shared celebration.
