AIADMK Members Submit Petition to Collector for Road Connection in Veerapandi, Coimbatore

AIADMK members, led by MLAs, submitted a petition to the Coimbatore District Collector on September 14, requesting the connection of a 15-foot pathway owned by a Central Government press to an existing road in Veerapandi Panchayat.


Coimbatore: Members of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) submitted a petition to Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati on September 14, requesting the connection of a 15-foot pathway owned by a Central Government press to an existing road in Veerapandi Panchayat.

The petition was presented by P.R.G. Arunkumar, MLA of Coimbatore Kavundampalayam constituency, accompanied by A.K. Selvaraj, MLA of Mettupalayam constituency. The AIADMK members emphasized the importance of connecting this 15-foot pathway, which belongs to the Central Government press, to the existing road network in the area under Veerapandi Panchayat.

The delegation also included K.V.N. Jayaraman, DMRE, Eastern Union Secretary of Periyanayakan, along with city union secretaries M. Ramdas and K. Gurundasalam, deputy secretary N. Anandan, and members of the public. The group collectively voiced their request to the District Collector, highlighting the potential benefits of this road connection for the local community.

This initiative by the AIADMK members aims to improve connectivity and accessibility in the Veerapandi area, potentially benefiting residents and businesses in the vicinity of the Central Government press. The District Collector's response and any subsequent actions regarding this petition are yet to be announced.
