SP Velumani Distributes Membership Cards to AIADMK Members in Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore

SP Velumani, AIADMK Secretary of Coimbatore South Outer District, distributed membership cards to party members in Kuniyamuthur on September 12. The event was part of a ward-level meeting attended by party officials and former legislators.

Coimbatore: SP Velumani, the AIADMK Secretary of Coimbatore South Outer District, distributed membership cards to party members during a meeting held in Kuniyamuthur on Tuesday, September 12.

The event was organized as part of the 92nd ward party workers' consultative meeting for the Kuniyamuthur area, which falls under the Thondamuthur Assembly constituency.

The meeting was conducted in accordance with the directives of Edappadi K Palaniswami, referred to as "Puratchi Thamizhar Edappadiyar," who serves as the AIADMK's General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition in Coimbatore.

SP Velumani, who is also a former minister, presided over the event and handed out the membership cards to AIADMK cadres.

The distribution of these cards is seen as a move to strengthen the party's grassroots structure and reaffirm members' commitment to the organization.

The gathering was attended by several prominent party figures, including AIADMK spokesperson Kalyanasundaram, former Members of Parliament, former Members of the Legislative Assembly, and various party executives. Their presence underscored the importance of the event in mobilizing party workers and reinforcing the AIADMK's organizational structure at the local level.

This membership drive comes at a time when the AIADMK is working to consolidate its base in Coimbatore district, a region that has been traditionally supportive of the party. The distribution of membership cards is likely part of a larger strategy to energize the party cadre and prepare for future electoral challenges.
