Monthly maintenance at Mathampalayam substation to cause power cut on Sept. 11 from 9 AM to 5 PM in several areas of Coimbatore, as announced by the Electricity Board.
Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power outage for tomorrow (September 11) due to monthly maintenance works at the Mathampalayam substation. The power cut will be in effect from 9 AM to 5 PM, affecting various areas in Coimbatore.
The affected areas include Bettathapuram, Thanneer Panthal, Kottai Division, Onnipalaiyam Road, Arivoli Nagar, Chinna Mathampalayam, Mathampalayam, Selvapuram, Santhimedu, Bharathi Nagar, Samanayakanpalaiyam Road, and Kannarpalaiyam Road.
Residents and businesses in these localities are advised to plan accordingly for the eight-hour power interruption. The TNEB has stated that the maintenance work is part of their routine upkeep to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network.
The power supply is expected to resume by 5 PM, or earlier if the maintenance work is completed ahead of schedule. The TNEB has requested the public's cooperation during this period and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
