Reckless driving is one of the major traffic violation that leads to life-threatening accidents. In this regard complaints have been pouring in about incidents, where cars and some private buses have been using the Coimbatore to Pollachi route as race tracks to exhibit their engine powers and for cheap thrill. Not just in the night but these reckless drivers threaten the passersby even in daylight, said the public.
Reacting to the issue, Sub Collector of Pollachi passed official directives to the RTO to probe the issue and haul such vehicles and terminate the license of the drivers. The RTO team swung into action immediately and seized the reckless drivers and apprehended their licenses for creating menace to the rest of the motorists and violating the traffic laws.
In another incident on the same route, the public pointed out with a video proof to the concerned officials about a few private buses who were involved in irresponsible driving. The officials caught them red-handed and suspended their driving license too.
Speaking on this, the officials have promised to continue stringent action against drivers for reckless driving.
