Power Outage Announced for Madukkarai and Sengathurai Sub-stations Tomorrow, Coimbatore

Electricity Board announces power cuts in several areas of Coimbatore on Thursday, September 5, from 9 AM to 4 PM due to monthly maintenance work at Madukkarai and Sengathurai sub-stations.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced power outages in various parts of Coimbatore district on Thursday, September 5, due to scheduled monthly maintenance work at two sub-stations.

According to the announcement made today, the Madukkarai sub-station will undergo maintenance from 9 AM to 4 PM. As a result, power supply will be suspended in the following areas: K.G. Chavadi, Palathurai, Bypass Road, Chavadiputhur, Kaliyapuram, Ettimadai, MGR Nagar, Sugunapuram, B.K. Puthur, Madukkarai, Arivoli Nagar, and parts of Kovaiputhur.

Similarly, the Sengathurai sub-station will also be undergoing maintenance work during the same time period on Thursday. The affected areas include Sengathurai, Kadampadi, Aero Nagar, Kangeyampalayam, PNP Nagar, and Mathiyazhagan Nagar.

The Electricity Board has advised residents and businesses in these areas to plan accordingly and make necessary arrangements to manage their activities during the power outage period. The maintenance work is part of the regular upkeep to ensure the efficiency and reliability of the power distribution network in the region.

Consumers are requested to cooperate with the Electricity Board during this temporary inconvenience. Normal power supply is expected to resume by 4 PM, following the completion of the maintenance work at both sub-stations.
