Thousands of Devotees Throng Anaimalai Masani Amman Temple on New Moon Day

On the occasion of Amavasya (New Moon Day), thousands of devotees waited in long queues for darshan at the Anaimalai Masani Amman Temple near Pollachi, Coimbatore. The temple witnessed a massive influx of worshippers from local and out-of-state areas.



Coimbatore: The renowned Masani Amman Temple in Anaimalai, near Pollachi, saw a huge turnout of devotees on the occasion of Amavasya (New Moon Day). The temple, known for attracting worshippers from both nearby areas and other states, witnessed a surge in visitors seeking the blessings of the goddess.

As part of the New Moon Day celebrations, 18 different types of abhishekams (ritual baths) were performed for the goddess. From early morning, devotees flocked to the temple in large numbers.



Many were seen lighting lamps near the flagpole to fulfill their vows and prayers.



Some devotees, seeking relief from black magic and other afflictions, performed a ritual of grinding chili peppers on the "justice stone" and applying it as part of their worship.



Thousands of devotees patiently waited in long queues to have a darshan of the goddess. The temple administration has put barriers in place to manage the crowd and ensure the safety of the devotees. Due to the massive turnout, hundreds of police personnel have been deployed to maintain order and provide security.

The Anaimalai Masani Amman Temple is a significant pilgrimage site in the region, known for its spiritual importance and the fervent devotion it inspires among worshippers. The New Moon Day is considered particularly auspicious for offering prayers and seeking the blessings of the goddess.
