Thieves broke into the Poompuhar sales outlet near Town Hall Clock Tower in Coimbatore and stole Rs. 1,44,877. Ukkadam police have registered a case and are investigating CCTV footage.



Coimbatore: A daring theft occurred at the Poompuhar sales outlet near the Town Hall Clock Tower in Coimbatore, resulting in the loss of Rs. 1,44,877. The incident has shocked local businesses and residents alike.

According to reports, unknown perpetrators broke the lock of the Poompuhar outlet and made away with the cash. The theft came to light when the outlet's staff arrived for work the next morning and found the premises ransacked.



Anandan, the manager of the sales outlet, immediately filed a complaint with the Ukkadam police station. Acting swiftly on the complaint, the police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.

As part of their probe, law enforcement officials have seized CCTV footage from the outlet and surrounding areas. They are meticulously examining the video evidence for any clues that might lead to the identification of the culprits.

The Ukkadam police are exploring all possible angles and have intensified their efforts to solve the case promptly. Local shopkeepers and residents have been requested to come forward with any information that might assist in the investigation.
