Coimbatore: DMK MP K. Eswaraswamy, who emerged victorious in the recent parliamentary elections, visited Valparai to express his gratitude to the constituents who supported him. The newly elected representative embarked on a tour of the hill station, covering key areas to personally thank the voters.
Eswaraswamy's thanksgiving tour included visits to Attakatti, Waterfalls, Valparai town, Karumalai, Pachamalai, Akkamalai, Movies, Sholayar, Panni Medu, and Cycle Mudi. At each stop, he interacted with local residents and conveyed his appreciation for their support during the elections.
Highlighting the significant mandate received, Eswaraswamy noted that the DMK secured over 200,000 votes in the Pollachi parliamentary constituency. He specifically mentioned that more than 30,000 votes came from the Valparai upper constituency, demonstrating strong support from the region.
During his interactions, Eswaraswamy addressed several pressing issues facing the Valparai region. He assured the constituents that he would raise concerns such as wage hikes for tea estate workers, alternative employment opportunities, and job prospects for educated youth in Parliament. The MP promised to be a voice for Valparai's development and welfare in the national forum.
