ASFASM to Host 'Run for Drug-Free Campus 2024' in Coimbatore

The Association of Self-Financing Arts, Science & Management Colleges of Tamil Nadu (ASFASM) is organizing a 5 km run on August 31, 2024, at Race Course, Coimbatore, to promote a drug-free environment in educational institutions.


Coimbatore: The Association of Self-Financing Arts, Science & Management Colleges of Tamil Nadu (ASFASM) has announced the "Run for Drug-Free Campus 2024" event, scheduled for August 31, 2024, at the Race Course in Coimbatore. This initiative aims to promote a drug-free environment across educational institutions and raise awareness among the student community.

The 5 km run, open to participants of all age groups, will commence at 6:30 AM. ASFASM encourages students from various colleges to participate in this event, which not only promotes physical fitness but also emphasizes the importance of leading a drug-free life.

Participants can register for the event by paying a fee of ₹250. The organizers have announced attractive cash prizes for the top three finishers: ₹10,000 for the first place, ₹7,500 for the second place, and ₹2,500 for the third place. Additionally, medals will be awarded to the top 50 participants.

The event offers several benefits to all participants, including e-certificates, t-shirts, and breakfast. ASFASM has requested educational institutions to encourage their students to actively participate in this awareness run.
