Om Bahadur, security guard of the Kothagiri Kodanadu estate, Nilgiri district, was brutally murdered. Bahudur, who originally hails from Nepal, was murdered at midnight by unknown radicals. Kishan Bahadur, another security guard, was severely injured and is being treated at the government hospital.
Presently, this estate property is under the control of TTV Dinakaran. Kodanadu estate is also one of the properties of Former Chief Minister, Jayalalitha that is been added to the list of illegal properties in the disappropriate assets case.
Murali Rambha, the Superintendent of Police, Nilgiri district, says that investigations are also being held in the direction of this atrocious act being a burglary attempt. DIG of Police (Coimbatore Division) Deepak M Damor has advised to form 5 special teams to investigate the murder.
