The accident case of Siddharth has taken a new twist as Police suspect involvement of a broker and two men of Jeeva Shanti Trust for shuttling the injured boy from Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) to a private hospital and then back to CMCH, where he was declared dead.
On Thursday, 19-year-old School Student, Siddharth from Telugupalayam met with an accident near Ukkadam Bye Pass road. The locals rushed him to CMCH for treatment. It is reported that the doctors at CMCH attended to him immediately and administered first aid. Shortly, a person named Kabilash claiming as Siddarth's brother requested the doctors to discharge him, as he planned to admit him at a private hospital. The so-called brother, admitted Siddharth to 'One Care' Hospital, a private hospital in Saibaba Colony. The doctors at One Care Hospital found Siddarth to be in a critical state, hence advised Kabilash to take him back to CMCH.
Unfortunately, poor Siddharth was declared dead at CMCH. Siddharth's parents argued with the doctors as to why their son was shuttled between CMCH and a private hospital? It's was then the doctors and his parents knew about the involvement of Kabilash, who falsely claimed as the brother of the victim. The same day, Siddharth's parents registered a complaint at the Race Course Police station claiming that their son died due to delay in treatment and also because of shuttling between hospitals by a person named Kabilash.
However, initial investigations reveal that the patient, Siddharth had been shifted using an ambulance belonging to Jeeva Shanthi trust, an NGO engaged in cremation of un-claimed corpse. Using the CCTV footages, Siddique and Nazir of Jeevashanti Trust were found to have involved with Kabilash in shifting Siddharth to the private hospital and again back to CMCH. Presently, the Police are investigating Siddique and Nazir of Jeeva Shanthi Trust and also Kabilash.
It is suspected that Kabilash who falsely claimed himself as Siddharth's brother could be a broker who works for a commission by referring patients from CMCH to private hospitals.
