Coimbatore: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is set to visit Coimbatore on August 9, 2024, for a series of important events, including the launch of the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme and the inauguration of the Ukkadam-Athupalam Flyover.

The Chief Minister's visit will begin at 11:00 AM, with his first stop at the Government Arts College, Race Course. Here, he will launch the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme, an initiative expected to aid in the educational development of students. This event is scheduled to last for 35 minutes.

At 11:45 AM, Stalin will proceed to the Ukkadam area to inaugurate the Athupalam Flyover. This new infrastructure is anticipated to ease traffic congestion in the area, marking a significant step in Coimbatore's urban development. The inauguration ceremony is allotted 15 minutes.

Following the flyover inauguration, the Chief Minister will travel to Kaniyur, approximately 32 km from Ukkadam, to unveil a statue of Kalaignar Karunanidhi. This ceremony serves as a tribute to the contributions of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

The visit is scheduled to conclude at 12:45 PM, with Stalin departing from Coimbatore Airport to return to Chennai.
