Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Oncology and Research (SRIOR)– a comprehensive cancer treatment centres has launched a “WIFI CLINIC” – first of its kind in this region.

The 'WIFI Clinic' was launched today by R.Vijayakumar, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable trust in the presence of Dr.P.Guhan, Director of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Oncology and Research, Dr.P.Sukumar, Dean of Sri Ramakrishna Hospital and Dr.K.Karthikesh-Surgical Oncologist were also present.
Briefing on the new initiative 'WIFI Clinic', Dr.Guhan, Director, SRIOR, said, 'The Wifi Clinic' modem is installed in the SRIOR reception which provides access to all cancer-related information’s to the patients and their attendees visiting the department. Any person coming to the department –if they enable ‘WIFI ON” option in their mobile phones, the “ WIFI Clinic” automatically will connect to the phone browsers like –Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, which connects to the website “a.Com” through which the WIFI Clinic can be accessed. Through accessing WIFI Clinic all pertinent information about different types of cancer, methods of treatment options and much more can be viewed. Online appointment numbers and e-mail ids are also provided. So that they can digitally connect with SRIOR'.
The patients and their attendees during the waiting time prior to Doctors Consultation can access all these vital information related to their disease and can get broaden their knowledge about the disease and state-of-art treatment options.
