Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu government has issued orders for the transfer of 17 IPS officers, including the Inspector General (IG) of the Western Zone. The order was issued by the Additional Chief Secretary of the state government on August 4.
According to the order, Bhavaneeswari, who was serving as the IG of Coimbatore West Zone, has been transferred. T. Senthil Kumar has been appointed as the new IG for this zone.
Bhavaneeswari has been transferred to Chennai, where she will take up the role of IG. Senthil Kumar, who was previously serving as IG in Chennai, has now been appointed as the IG for Coimbatore West Zone.
It is noteworthy that Senthil Kumar has previously served in various capacities in the region. He has worked as the Deputy Commissioner in Coimbatore city, Superintendent of Police in Nilgiris and Erode districts, and as the Commissioner in Salem.
This reshuffle is part of a larger transfer of IPS officers in the state, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the police force across different zones and districts.
