Corporation Commissioner, Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan inspected the ward works in person carried out in Ward No:78 pertaining to South Zone. During the ward visit, the leakage in the main drinking water pipeline at Nadar Colony, Selvapuram was identified and the concerned officials were asked to attend to it immediately. The officials were also asked to keep a tight vigil on pipe leakages, and if found, repair works should be carried out on priority, Commissioner urged.
The park site at the ward was also reviewed. The sanitary workers and residents were sensitized on importance of segregation of wastes at source and also to clean their premise clean.
