Coimbatore MP Ganapathi Rajkumar Inaugurates Street Light Installation Project

Coimbatore MP Ganapathi Rajkumar inaugurated a Rs. 54 lakh street light installation project on Sathy Main Road in North Zone on July 27, following Chief Minister's orders for public welfare.


Coimbatore: In a move to enhance public infrastructure, Coimbatore Member of Parliament Ganapathi P. Rajkumar inaugurated a street light installation project in the city's North Zone on Thursday, July 27. The project, valued at Rs. 54 lakhs, is part of the public welfare initiatives ordered by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

The inauguration ceremony marked the commencement of work to install central median street lights along Sathy Main Road, stretching from Prozone Mall to Amman Temple. This area falls under Ward Numbers 10, 11, and 21 of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation's North Zone.



The event was attended by several key figures from the local administration. Ve. Kathirvel, Chairman of Coimbatore Corporation's North Zone, was present along with Ward Councilors including Siravai Siva (aka P. Palanisamy) from Ward 11 and Poongodi Somasundaram from Ward 21. Other ward members in attendance were Kavitha, Chitra, Ranganayaki, and Saranya. The North Zone Assistant Commissioner Sri Devi and Junior Engineer Sakthivel also participated in the ceremony. Several party executives were also present to witness the inauguration.

This street lighting project is expected to significantly improve visibility and safety for both pedestrians and motorists along the busy Sathy Main Road. It represents a continued effort by the city administration to upgrade urban infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for Coimbatore residents.
