DMK District Secretary N. Karthik Attends Thirukalyana Utsavam at Singanallur Puthuraja Temple in Coimbatore

N. Karthik, DMK Coimbatore Urban District Secretary, participated in the Thirukalyana Utsavam at Singanallur Puthuraja Temple on July 25. The event saw attendance from various party officials and devotees.


Coimbatore: N. Karthik, the DMK Coimbatore Urban District Secretary and former MLA, attended the Thirukalyana Utsavam (divine wedding festival) at the Arulmigu Puthuraja Temple in Singanallur on July 25. The temple, dedicated to Mariamman of the Devendrakula Velalar community, witnessed a grand celebration with the presence of several prominent figures.



During his visit, Karthik participated in the darshan, joining the festivities that mark a significant event in the temple's calendar. The Thirukalyana Utsavam, an annual celebration, draws devotees from across the region to witness the symbolic divine wedding.

The event saw participation from various DMK party officials and local leaders. Among those present were M. Siva, DMK Secretary of Singanallur Area-2; S. Danapal, member of the Coimbatore District Trustee Committee; Dravidamani; Thennavarasu Selvaraj, Circle Secretary; Adhimakeswari Dravidamani, Corporation Councillor; and A. Manoharan, Chairman of the Trustee Committee of Singanallur Devendrakula Velalar Mariamman Temple.

Other notable attendees included M. Subramanian, Rajesh, Manuneedhi Cholan, Chandran, Sampathkumar, Ilavarasu, and Poonkodi. The festival also saw a large gathering of party executives, devotees, and the general public, underscoring the cultural and social significance of the event in the local community.
