A massive strike is to be held on 25th April as the central government has failed to respond to the farmers protesting in Tamil Nadu. All major political parties, excluding state BJP passed a resolution for a state-wide bandh on April 25 to demand relief for Tamil Nadu's farmers.
In this regard, Venkita Subbu, President of The Tamil Nadu Hotel Association said that the association will also take part in the strike in support of the farmers of the state. Close to 10,000 hotels will be shutdown until evening of 25th.
There have already been several protests in different parts of the state with regard to this issue. Today, The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, also held an unprecedented protest at the Ukkadam bus stand. They also condemned the failure of the central and state government to ensure the welfare of farmers, who are the backbone of our nation.
