Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced power outages in several areas of Coimbatore district on July 25 due to scheduled monthly maintenance work at two substations. The power supply will be suspended from 9 AM to 5 PM in various localities.
Areas serviced by the Othakkalmandapam substation that will experience power cuts include parts of Malumichampatti, Ezhur division, Arasippalayam, Othakkalmandapam, Premier Nagar, Mailaeripalayam, Mampalli, Periyakuyili, Orattukuppai, Thegani, and Chettipalayam.
The Peedampalli substation maintenance will affect power supply in Kallappalayam, Peedampalli, Chinnakalangal, Pappampatti, parts of Nagamanaickkenpalayam, parts of Selvarajapuram, Kannampalayam, Nadupalayam, and Pallapalayam.
Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly for the day-long power interruption. The TNEB has stated that the maintenance work is necessary to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network.
